My favorite series since 2011

I discovered this series when I was in 6th grade. I’m 21 now. I’ve been waiting for people to read it so they could understand what I meant when I said I wanted to spend my summers like Belly. They finally are. Get the book!!!!!

This book is timeless.

I read this book once before when I was in high school and I loved it. I remembered it randomly one day and couldn’t find it, so I bought it to read on my phone. It’s just one of those books that kind of make you comfortable, like it says all the things you feel and it’s right. Everything about it is truthful and honest, and never dull. I’m grateful I got to read it.

Lol I couldn’t think of a title

This book was so good!!! One of my favorite teen romances ( I only read teen romances just to make that clear)!!! Dang it now I wish my mom had a best friend with two (attractive) sons abt my age that we went to see every summer!!! So jelly of Belly ( HAHA WHAT!?). And yes I can definitely relate to Belly bc, hehe, not trying to brag, but that happened to me a few years ago... ya know... becoming pretty...but we all have that summer we turn pretty... don’t we girls? I totally recommend this book to any girl still in grade school :). And also, on the original cover, why does Conrad look soooo... oh idk... UGLY. Does anyone agree with me??? U can’t deny it. Like, cmon seriously. And I was really on Jeremiah’s team the whole time but whatever. IF ONLY they used a different cover model for this 😓. I guess he just needs a haircut. But the book was great 👍🏼👍🏼

The only not good comment out there it seems

There are a lot of comments out there about how this book changed their lives and how everyone needs to read this and that’s great for all the many people whose lives have been impacted for the better by this book. Let me start off saying that I like Jenny Han and I enjoyed the To All The Boys I’ve Lived Before series immensely because the characters were charming and deep... this wasn’t the case for The Summer I Turned Pretty series. Belly and Conrad seem one dimensional to me and the only character who I rooted for was Jeremiah who nobody else seems to appreciate as much as me. It seems like Conrad just kept stringing Belly a long and Belly just kept falling for it every time he did something remotely nice to her. Besides the characters, the book was set up so confusingly that I got headaches. It skips back and forth in time so much that I sometimes would have no idea when a certain chapter was taking place. The plot didn’t grip me like To All The Boys did and neither did the characters. I read the next two books just out of curiosity and I can say that they are slightly better because there is no jumping in time anymore, but they just seemed continuations of the first book where belly has to decide between a nice life with Jeremiah who will love her and support her or Conrad who has so many mood swings it was hard for me to like him. The last book actually had the best plot in my opinion because *SPOILER ALERT* I had hope for my favorite character but clearly that hope should never have existed because Jeremiah stood no chance against Conrad (who has an unhealthy relationship with Belly and strings her along like I said above). Jenny Han, I really like your work and it pains me to write about these books with such distaste since To All The Boys was such a great book and such a great series. To people who disagree with me, I respect your opinions and your experience with these books are different than mine so there is no correct way to feel about these books. Readers, if you want a light, easy, mindless read that you can read in less than a day, go for it, but if you want to read a Jenny Han book, try her best and go for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

Trilogy

I read through this trilogy in just under two weeks. It was such an easy and pleasant read. The story line was good but how the author wrote it was phenomenal! I normally hate books that flip from past to present or switch narrators until I read this series! Huge KUDOS!!

A beautiful love story

This is one of my all time favorite books. I have read the whole summer series a total of5 times. Everytime I read the book I find my self falling more in love with the characters than I was before. it shows how hard growing up can be. Although I will say that at times I want to get a knife and murder Conrad. This story makes me cry overtime. han does a wonderful job at making ypu feel like you and the characters are connected. i wuld recommend this book to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Series Ever!

For the last three years these books have been my summer traditions. I read them at the beginning of summer and at the end. I ways get transported to Cousins. I feel like I know them all personally! Sometimes I read them throughout the year. No matter how many times I read these I manage to cry harder every time. Conrad Fisher has given me more butterflies and tears than any other boy. Thank you Jenny Han! You given me a book to admire much as some girls admire The Fault In Our Stars, maybe even way more. I read TFIOS book and teared up a little. But not even that book has been able to top The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy. I might as well say Conrad Fisher is my Augustus Waters, and more. I've fallen in with the characters, I even named my Siamese kitten, Belly! Susannah made me feel overwhelmed with joy. Until she passed. I cried. Jeremiah was the type of boyfriend I wanted. Goofy and adorable. But something about Conrad captivated me. Well I think all of us. This book is a must read!!

Okay I never write reviews but here goes nothing. 3 years ago I stumbled upon this book. I was 13 years old and I fell in love with the way the words were splayed out on the page and how ridiculously infatuated I was with this book. Some people read it and think "oh that's just another little pre-teen book" but no I recommend this to women of all ages. Especially for those confused, intrigued, 13 year olds who fall in love with things too fast and can occupy their time with a piece of flint for hours. I for one was an insecure wreck. But this book made me believe in pretty things and the existence of hope that somehow magically everything will be okay. I know it's about a summer of people who seem to beautiful to be real and I know belly is a flower in disguise as a plain jane, and I hoped that I too would one day turn into this shockingly beautiful women at the start of a summer of 16. But now that I know I'm 16 and it is the start of summer, I look back at my 13 year old self so lonely and (((( really fat)))) possibly quite a little chunky (((really fat)))) I know now at a healthy weight with my cheekbones higher and my lips fuller that beauty comes from within and I've always been beautiful. I know this has rarely anything to do with the book, but the target audience this book appeals to is mostly 13-16 year olds and I want you to know that this book is a must read. You'll fall deeply in love with the characters. Pining and fighting for which one you admire more I am personally team Conrad forever and always but Jeremiah always shocked me with his kind heart. I can honestly tell you that I can't relate to belly on any levels but it's refreshing reading about someone who is completely different from you. So I appreciated that. And mostly I appreciate this book for giving me sleepless nights and compelling, wondrous scenarios that ran wild in my mind. Thanks for giving me a book to encourage me to read.

This book has everything that I would want from it. It's realistic, cute, relatable, and the plot makes sense. I read this before I read Kelly Elliott's "Wanted" and this one was SO much better! Perfect amount of heartbreak and love. GET THE OTHER 2 IN THE SERIES!

Best love series so far

Finished the book in about 3 hours, I couldn't stop reading. The author has a way of knowing how to pull you in and the story itself pulls you in. It's a typical love story but has so much great characters and plots and twists. By the end of the series you will end up getting attached to the characters and this is the type of book that will make you cry, at least for me it did. Just buy the whole series. You won't regret it.

Best love series so far

Finished the book in about 3 hours, I couldn't stop reading. The author has a way of knowing how to pull you in and the story itself pulls you in. It's a typical love story but has so much great characters and plots and twists. By the end of the series you will end up getting attached to the characters and this is the type of book that will make you cry, at least for me it did. Just buy the whole series. You won't regret it.

She gave it a try then we was hooked on them my school only had the first and second one . We didn't know there was a third one till I found it on hear . This book didn't seem appealing to me at first but one day I said what the heck and read it, and I am so glad I did. This book is about love and loss and drama but in the end it will be your favorite book too. The second and third books are just as great. I highly recommend this book:)

I discovered this series when I was in 6th grade. I’m 21 now. I’ve been waiting for people to read it so they could understand what I meant when I said I wanted to spend my summers like Belly. They finally are. Get the book!!!!!

This book is timeless.

I read this book once before when I was in high school and I loved it. I remembered it randomly one day and couldn’t find it, so I bought it to read on my phone. It’s just one of those books that kind of make you comfortable, like it says all the things you feel and it’s right. Everything about it is truthful and honest, and never dull. I’m grateful I got to read it.

Lol I couldn’t think of a title

This book was so good!!! One of my favorite teen romances ( I only read teen romances just to make that clear)!!! Dang it now I wish my mom had a best friend with two (attractive) sons abt my age that we went to see every summer!!! So jelly of Belly ( HAHA WHAT!?). And yes I can definitely relate to Belly bc, hehe, not trying to brag, but that happened to me a few years ago... ya know... becoming pretty...but we all have that summer we turn pretty... don’t we girls? I totally recommend this book to any girl still in grade school :). And also, on the original cover, why does Conrad look soooo... oh idk... UGLY. Does anyone agree with me??? U can’t deny it. Like, cmon seriously. And I was really on Jeremiah’s team the whole time but whatever. IF ONLY they used a different cover model for this 😓. I guess he just needs a haircut. But the book was great 👍🏼👍🏼

The only not good comment out there it seems

There are a lot of comments out there about how this book changed their lives and how everyone needs to read this and that’s great for all the many people whose lives have been impacted for the better by this book. Let me start off saying that I like Jenny Han and I enjoyed the To All The Boys I’ve Lived Before series immensely because the characters were charming and deep... this wasn’t the case for The Summer I Turned Pretty series. Belly and Conrad seem one dimensional to me and the only character who I rooted for was Jeremiah who nobody else seems to appreciate as much as me. It seems like Conrad just kept stringing Belly a long and Belly just kept falling for it every time he did something remotely nice to her. Besides the characters, the book was set up so confusingly that I got headaches. It skips back and forth in time so much that I sometimes would have no idea when a certain chapter was taking place. The plot didn’t grip me like To All The Boys did and neither did the characters. I read the next two books just out of curiosity and I can say that they are slightly better because there is no jumping in time anymore, but they just seemed continuations of the first book where belly has to decide between a nice life with Jeremiah who will love her and support her or Conrad who has so many mood swings it was hard for me to like him. The last book actually had the best plot in my opinion because *SPOILER ALERT* I had hope for my favorite character but clearly that hope should never have existed because Jeremiah stood no chance against Conrad (who has an unhealthy relationship with Belly and strings her along like I said above). Jenny Han, I really like your work and it pains me to write about these books with such distaste since To All The Boys was such a great book and such a great series. To people who disagree with me, I respect your opinions and your experience with these books are different than mine so there is no correct way to feel about these books. Readers, if you want a light, easy, mindless read that you can read in less than a day, go for it, but if you want to read a Jenny Han book, try her best and go for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

A beautiful love story

This is one of my all time favorite books. I have read the whole summer series a total of5 times. Everytime I read the book I find my self falling more in love with the characters than I was before. it shows how hard growing up can be. Although I will say that at times I want to get a knife and murder Conrad. This story makes me cry overtime. han does a wonderful job at making ypu feel like you and the characters are connected. i wuld recommend this book to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Series Ever!

For the last three years these books have been my summer traditions. I read them at the beginning of summer and at the end. I ways get transported to Cousins. I feel like I know them all personally! Sometimes I read them throughout the year. No matter how many times I read these I manage to cry harder every time. Conrad Fisher has given me more butterflies and tears than any other boy. Thank you Jenny Han! You given me a book to admire much as some girls admire The Fault In Our Stars, maybe even way more. I read TFIOS book and teared up a little. But not even that book has been able to top The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy. I might as well say Conrad Fisher is my Augustus Waters, and more. I've fallen in with the characters, I even named my Siamese kitten, Belly! Susannah made me feel overwhelmed with joy. Until she passed. I cried. Jeremiah was the type of boyfriend I wanted. Goofy and adorable. But something about Conrad captivated me. Well I think all of us. This book is a must read!!

Okay I never write reviews but here goes nothing. 3 years ago I stumbled upon this book. I was 13 years old and I fell in love with the way the words were splayed out on the page and how ridiculously infatuated I was with this book. Some people read it and think "oh that's just another little pre-teen book" but no I recommend this to women of all ages. Especially for those confused, intrigued, 13 year olds who fall in love with things too fast and can occupy their time with a piece of flint for hours. I for one was an insecure wreck. But this book made me believe in pretty things and the existence of hope that somehow magically everything will be okay. I know it's about a summer of people who seem to beautiful to be real and I know belly is a flower in disguise as a plain jane, and I hoped that I too would one day turn into this shockingly beautiful women at the start of a summer of 16. But now that I know I'm 16 and it is the start of summer, I look back at my 13 year old self so lonely and (((( really fat)))) possibly quite a little chunky (((really fat)))) I know now at a healthy weight with my cheekbones higher and my lips fuller that beauty comes from within and I've always been beautiful. I know this has rarely anything to do with the book, but the target audience this book appeals to is mostly 13-16 year olds and I want you to know that this book is a must read. You'll fall deeply in love with the characters. Pining and fighting for which one you admire more I am personally team Conrad forever and always but Jeremiah always shocked me with his kind heart. I can honestly tell you that I can't relate to belly on any levels but it's refreshing reading about someone who is completely different from you. So I appreciated that. And mostly I appreciate this book for giving me sleepless nights and compelling, wondrous scenarios that ran wild in my mind. Thanks for giving me a book to encourage me to read.

This book has everything that I would want from it. It's realistic, cute, relatable, and the plot makes sense. I read this before I read Kelly Elliott's "Wanted" and this one was SO much better! Perfect amount of heartbreak and love. GET THE OTHER 2 IN THE SERIES!

I was 13 years old and I fell in love with the way the words were splayed out on the page and how ridiculously infatuated I was with this book. Some people read it and think "oh that's just another little pre-teen book" but no I recommend this to women of all ages. Especially for those confused, intrigued, 13 year olds who fall in love with things too fast and can occupy their time with a piece of flint for hours. I for one was an insecure wreck. But this book made me believe in pretty things and the existence of hope that somehow magically everything will be okay. I know it's about a summer of people who seem to beautiful to be real and I know belly is a flower in disguise as a plain jane, and I hoped that I too would one day turn into this shockingly beautiful women at the start of a summer of 16. But now that I know I'm 16 and it is the start of summer, I look back at my 13 year old self so lonely and (((( really fat)))) possibly quite a little chunky (((really fat)))) I know now at a healthy weight with my cheekbones higher and my lips fuller that beauty comes from within and I've always been beautiful. I know this has rarely anything to do with the book, but the target audience this book appeals to is mostly 13-16 year olds and I want you to know that this book is a must read. You'll fall deeply in love with the characters. Pining and fighting for which one you admire more I am personally team Conrad forever and always but Jeremiah always shocked me with his kind heart. I can honestly tell you that I can't relate to belly on any levels but it's refreshing reading about someone who is completely different from you. So I appreciated that. And mostly I appreciate this book for giving me sleepless nights and compelling, wondrous scenarios that ran wild in my mind. Thanks for giving me a book to encourage me to read.

This book has everything that I would want from it. It's realistic, cute, relatable, and the plot makes sense. I read this before I read Kelly Elliott's "Wanted" and this one was SO much better! Perfect amount of heartbreak and love. GET THE OTHER 2 IN THE SERIES!

Best love series so far

Finished the book in about 3 hours, I couldn't stop reading. The author has a way of knowing how to pull you in and the story itself pulls you in. It's a typical love story but has so much great characters and plots and twists. By the end of the series you will end up getting attached to the characters and this is the type of book that will make you cry, at least for me it did. Just buy the whole series. You won't regret it.

I discovered this series when I was in 6th grade. I’m 21 now. I’ve been waiting for people to read it so they could understand what I meant when I said I wanted to spend my summers like Belly. They finally are. Get the book!!!!!

This book is timeless.

I read this book once before when I was in high school and I loved it. I remembered it randomly one day and couldn’t find it, so I bought it to read on my phone. It’s just one of those books that kind of make you comfortable, like it says all the things you feel and it’s right. Everything about it is truthful and honest, and never dull. I’m grateful I got to read it.

Lol I couldn’t think of a title

This book was so good!!! One of my favorite teen romances ( I only read teen romances just to make that clear)!!! Dang it now I wish my mom had a best friend with two (attractive) sons abt my age that we went to see every summer!!! So jelly of Belly ( HAHA WHAT!?). And yes I can definitely relate to Belly bc, hehe, not trying to brag, but that happened to me a few years ago... ya know... becoming pretty...but we all have that summer we turn pretty... don’t we girls? I totally recommend this book to any girl still in grade school :). And also, on the original cover, why does Conrad look soooo... oh idk... UGLY. Does anyone agree with me??? U can’t deny it. Like, cmon seriously. And I was really on Jeremiah’s team the whole time but whatever. IF ONLY they used a different cover model for this 😓. I guess he just needs a haircut. But the book was great 👍🏼👍🏼

The only not good comment out there it seems

There are a lot of comments out there about how this book changed their lives and how everyone needs to read this and that’s great for all the many people whose lives have been impacted for the better by this book. Let me start off saying that I like Jenny Han and I enjoyed the To All The Boys I’ve Lived Before series immensely because the characters were charming and deep... this wasn’t the case for The Summer I Turned Pretty series. Belly and Conrad seem one dimensional to me and the only character who I rooted for was Jeremiah who nobody else seems to appreciate as much as me. It seems like Conrad just kept stringing Belly a long and Belly just kept falling for it every time he did something remotely nice to her. Besides the characters, the book was set up so confusingly that I got headaches. It skips back and forth in time so much that I sometimes would have no idea when a certain chapter was taking place. The plot didn’t grip me like To All The Boys did and neither did the characters. I read the next two books just out of curiosity and I can say that they are slightly better because there is no jumping in time anymore, but they just seemed continuations of the first book where belly has to decide between a nice life with Jeremiah who will love her and support her or Conrad who has so many mood swings it was hard for me to like him. The last book actually had the best plot in my opinion because *SPOILER ALERT* I had hope for my favorite character but clearly that hope should never have existed because Jeremiah stood no chance against Conrad (who has an unhealthy relationship with Belly and strings her along like I said above). Jenny Han, I really like your work and it pains me to write about these books with such distaste since To All The Boys was such a great book and such a great series. To people who disagree with me, I respect your opinions and your experience with these books are different than mine so there is no correct way to feel about these books. Readers, if you want a light, easy, mindless read that you can read in less than a day, go for it, but if you want to read a Jenny Han book, try her best and go for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

Trilogy

A beautiful love story

This is one of my all time favorite books. I have read the whole summer series a total of5 times. Everytime I read the book I find my self falling more in love with the characters than I was before. it shows how hard growing up can be. Although I will say that at times I want to get a knife and murder Conrad. This story makes me cry overtime. han does a wonderful job at making ypu feel like you and the characters are connected. i wuld recommend this book to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Series Ever!

For the last three years these books have been my summer traditions. I read them at the beginning of summer and at the end. I ways get transported to Cousins. I feel like I know them all personally! Sometimes I read them throughout the year. No matter how many times I read these I manage to cry harder every time. Conrad Fisher has given me more butterflies and tears than any other boy. Thank you Jenny Han! You given me a book to admire much as some girls admire The Fault In Our Stars, maybe even way more. I read TFIOS book and teared up a little. But not even that book has been able to top The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy. I might as well say Conrad Fisher is my Augustus Waters, and more. I've fallen in with the characters, I even named my Siamese kitten, Belly! Susannah made me feel overwhelmed with joy. Until she passed. I cried. Jeremiah was the type of boyfriend I wanted. Goofy and adorable. But something about Conrad captivated me. Well I think all of us. This book is a must read!!
